Summer Camp Catalog
Week-Long Half-Day Camp
- Physics Day: Campers will put their engineering skills to the test as they explore potential and kinetic energy. Learn about forces and friction with wigglers, gears, tops, and gravity drops! Experiment with prism glasses, shadow backdrops, mirrors, lenses, and a laser light show!
- Biology Day: On biology day, campers will explore food chains, dissect owl pellets, and observe real skulls and jawbones to learn predator/prey relationships. Feeling gutsy? Touch real LIVE BUGS, brains, and eyes!
- Geology Day: Take a trip into Earth's past and touch real fossils! Model how fossils form, create fossil rubbings, & take home a fossilized shark tooth! Explode with laughter as we mix chemicals to erupt volcanoes!
- Astronomy Day: Campers become aerospace engineers as they blast off with water propulsion rockets and become a human launch pad in this space exploration program!
- Robotics Day: Machines will take over as we build, program, and test our very own robots using Lego WeDo™ Robotics. Have fun with creative coding as we use Bee-Bot, Bloxels and more to explore the world of robots.
Individual Programs
- Bio Basics: Feeling gutsy? Touch real brains and eyes! Try tricking your brain with optical illusions!
- Creative Coding: Learn the basics of coding by taking BeeBot® through a self-created obstacle course! (recommended ages 7+)
- Fossil Fun: Touch real fossils! Model how fossils form, fossil rubbings, & take home a fossilized shark tooth!
- Knockout Nature: Explore food chains, dissect owl pellets, observe the teeth of real skulls to learn predator/prey relationships. Touch LIVE BUGS…. If you dare!
- Light Fever: Experiment with prism glasses, shadow backdrops, mirrors, lenses, and a laser light show!
- Mighty Magnets: Learn the power of forces with magnetic cars, mazes, levitating rings, electromagnets & force fields!
- Mission Control: Blast off with water propulsion rockets as you become a human launch pad in this space exploration program! ***Program is weather dependent. If weather is not permitting, program will default to indoor Space program.
- Motion Commotion: Drive cars down tracks as we test potential and kinetic energy. Learn about forces and friction with wigglers, gears, tops, and gravity drops!
- Sea Ya Later: Explore ocean water and waves, discover creatures of the sea and take home a fossilized shark tooth!
- Volcanoes: Explode with laughter as we mix chemicals to erupt volcanoes!
